千葉大では英語による学術的な文章を書くために必要なスキルを身につけることであり、アラバマ大では日本語を学ぶことである。双方の目的に資するような国際協同学修を実施する。

授業内容
Class content
千葉大生は、英語による学術的な文章を手順を踏んで学んだ。その一環として、英語による自己紹介とAcademic Writingの草稿を電子メールで送り、アラバマ大生にチェックしてもらい、異なる文化的背景を持つ読者から有益なアドヴァイスを得ることができた。
アラバマ大生は、日本語の文法と語彙を学んだ。日本語で自己紹介を書いて電子メールで送り、チェックしてもらい、日本語ネイティヴとの個人的なコミュニケーションの機会を得ることができた。
The Chiba University students studied academic writing in English according to procedure. As a part thereof, they sent English introductions and academic writing drafts via e-mail to the UA students for review, so as to receive relevant advice from readers from a different cultural background.
The UA students studied Japanese grammar and vocabulary. They sent Japanese introductions via e-mail to the Chiba students for assessment, as an opportunity for individual communication with native Japanese speakers.
